Rossi wins 100th Indy

Alexander Rossi ex-F1 Driver comes to Indy as a Rookie and was definitely comfortable in the car and at one stage, the fastest car in the field. The Andretti-Herta Team decided to stick to a rigid plan of fuel consumption for the entire 500 miles. Rossi was never a contender all day but with five miles to go the leaders were pulling in for a splash of gas. And here comes Rossi almost out of gas himself but committed to the plan. He slowed dramatically on the last lap with a 180mph lap with the field charging hard behind him. He powered across the bricks engine sputtering to win the 100th Running of the Indianapolis 500. Another spectacular finish of what was a great race, full of unpredictable events and tension then delight.
