I watched the new product sales pitch video which is all over the IN. Nice to see the Motor Co. drop some new product concepts and generate a lot of interest and hopefully some future sales. When it came to the Livewire, they were honest and let the audience hear the horrible, nails on a chalkboard screech of the drive line. It is such a disgusting sound it even has a name "Grima". Harley should look into it because it definitely will negatively effect sales in a big way. That grating gear whine eliminates me from buying any electric bike ( among another 100 reasons). A suggestion however. Develop a sound system that just overwhelms the real noise and replace it with an XR-750 soundtrack (with a volume knob). The rider would delight in it and make it project out the front so pedestrians wont step out in front of it.
The Harley Designers must like the classic aftermarket unibody that was made to fit a variety of BSAs. It sure helps the look of the Espresso Machine look of the Live Wire power/battery unit.
