El Poderoso, The Mighty One

My late, great bud, Andy Anderson, bought the Ranchero brand new in 1972 to haul his Yamaha Flat Trackers to South Bay Speedway, Chula Vista, Calif. Every year he would buy a new MX Yami from
Earl Roloff Sr Yamaha, Imperial Beach and convert it into FT trim. Young Earl would pilot the bike mainly but Andy had several young hot shoes twistin the throttle. Andy lived for the Motorcycle experience as a lot of us do. He generously gave me the Ranchero with one condition, I never brought it back. It has served me well hauling my bikes for 18 years. It hauls 3 dirt bikes effortlessly with its 351 Cleveland purring along.  It has towed race cars and dune buggies and boats with aplomb. It was named El Poderoso because it gets the job done with out a lot of fuss and fan fare. A good, solid hauler.
