1960 and Transistor Radios are all the rage and this one has got to be, one of the most Americana of them all. Styled after the 1959 Pontiac tail fins, this Sharp Rocket Radio had it going on in leaps and bounds. I was there for the portable transistor radio revolution and it was as exciting as the new music squawking out of their tinny sounding speakers. Music to go, unbelievable and enjoyed by millions of kids who could not get enough of that AM party.
