Royal Enfield Classic 500/750 Champion

Shell Thuet's Royal Enfield 500 surprised all the Factory Race Teams and Hot Shoe Riders when Elliot Schultz flew through the traps with an astounding lap record at Ascot in 1965. Serving notice to the dominate BSA Gold Stars , Triumph 500s and Harley KR 750s that a new era had begun. The RE had its golden moment in the sun and the race results and accomplishments stand in the History books.
It has happened again, this time the Tuner is Bruce Argetsinger and his ace throttle jockey Rob McLendon have won the prestigious AHRMA Classic 500/750 and will wear the #1 Plate through 2011. Once again a Royal Enfield beat the Goldies, Trumpets and Flat Head Hogs. Well done guys, congratulations and do it again this year.
Ralph White was one of the lucky few to ride Shell's Rocket RE and he looks very pleased to be getting a big bang from this Beehive Honey for his win on the Ascot Half Mile in the mid 60s.
