Rode my buddy Wayne's 1969 BSA Lightning on a 200 mile burn yesterday. Mission Gorge to Wildcat Canyon through the Barona Indian Reservation, blasted by Santa Ysabel and gassed it through Scissors Crossing and slid into Borrego Springs. From the Coast, up over the Coast Range and down into the Desert and back. All beautifully paved twisty roads on a ideal spring day.
The Anza Borrego Desert and Mountains never looked better or greener. The Lightning is awesome. Handles great with beautiful sounding power. This bike is dead stock and reassuring to ride. I love the '60s 650 feel. Wayne rode his '70 Norton 750 and what a pleasure it is to hear a Norton being wound out for 200 Miles. Thanks Wayno
