Freddie Nix

Freddie Nix cut his racing teeth at the Santa Fe Speedway in Chicago. His winning ways earned him a Harley Factory ride which he put to good use. Eleven National Victories, six of which were Miles. In '68 he battled Gary Nixon right down to the last race of the year at Ascot for the Championship. All kinds of team rivalry shenanigans went on during that last race and Nixon ended up with the Title with Freddie the runner up. Before the '69 season began Freddie was killed in a freak car accident in Bakersfield, Calif ending his short but storied career. A sad end to a great racer who had all the stuff to be a multi time National Champ.
