Graham was known for leaving it on and riding it in deeper than anyone, but he occasionally paid the price, like here at Tulsa.
I once saw him spectating at Del Mar after a surgery to fix one of his race injuries. He was sporting a gnarly 360 degree, open slice around his left arm, shoulder held together by 1/8" cat gut sewn in a Frankenstein pattern. He got a kick out of people freaking when they saw it sticking out of his sleeveless t-shirt.
