This old B&W photo has been hanging on my Garage Wall of Fame since Cycle News published it back in the early 80's.Two of my all time Flat Track heros, 44 Alex "Jorgy" Jorgenson and Ricky Graham locked in glorious battle. Jorgy's XR looks great in color sitting on the lush pit grass at the Sacramento Mile. We got to watch these two Northern Cal riders go at it, on both the San Jose and Sacto Miles. It was a great time in Flat Track history, Jorgy was riding a super competitive Harley after many years of being Norton mounted. Graham was at the start of his storied, rise and fall and rise again as one of America's best riding Dirt Track Champions.
