Mark Brelsford, Team Harley Davidson, won the No.1 plate in the hard fought '72 season. During his six year career he won at all three disciplines in the Championship, Ovals, TT and Road Racing.
On his first time out carrying the No. 1 plate he had this terrifying wreck when he collected a bike that suddenly slowed unexpectedly. The injuries ,two broken legs and hand and wrist ,effectively ended his brilliant career. I have seen Mark at different racing events and he still has that great infectious smile.
