Pato O’Ward has walked back from his F1 commitments with McLaren to focus on IndyCar.

Mexican Pato O'Ward asked to be relieved of his McLaren F1 Test/ Relief Driver position. With the current state of F1, his ambitions to leave Indy Car for F1 have been squashed. He is happy to concentrate on his Team Mclaren Indy Car racing despite his F1 ambitions.
