On contracts signed a least a year ago, both Jorge Martin and Ai Ogura give up the fastest and most competitive bikes in MotoGP. The both move to Yamaha where a new rule change to a smaller engine for 2027 might be just what is needed to get the Yamaha competitive again. Meanwhile Fabio and Rins are out of Yamaha after a long time of sucking hind tit. Fabio is going to Honda who have improved lately. Alex Rins might be out altogether. Thats a shame because Rins is always competitive on a good bike. Unfortunately all seem to be spoken for, leaving him out in the cold.
Fabio happy to leave Yamaha after years of disappointment with the team.
