55 Customline Roo Shooter
This is my Dad's 55 Customline, a go to church on Sunday, Friday and Saturday Night Rip Roarin' Roo Shootin' terror. My Uncle had a big wheat farm in Tumby Bay and roos were thick as flys on a sheep's bum. Roos are nocturnal, so spot lighting was essential. Preferred method was my uncles flat bed Bedford truck with a railing up around the bed and four blokes ( or as many wanted to hang on ) on each corner, shooting WWII Royal Enfield .303s, while the driver and passenger spot lighter eluminated the bounding beasts at 40 mph. These are the Eyres Penninsular 6 foot, Reds. It was an incredible mayhem, resulting in, lets say 100 count and it looked like it never made a dent. My Dad's Customline was a good machine for the job. Take off the Boot lid and fabricate a holding on hoop and Bob's your Uncle. The terrain is flat and expansive and sedans work well in these conditions. Not as big a party as the flatbed but, two guys standing in the boot and two in the front is effective and probably most common.
