Although half the entire field is made up of Ducatis, it doesn't effect the actual racing, which is the most competitive and entertaining form of racing world wide. Other Mfgs do win and place on occassion. The faithful are not complaining about it being Formula Ducati. MotoGP has evolved to the riders being the center of attention rather than the bikes. Put Bagnaia on an Aprilia or Marc Marquez on a KTM and they would no doubt be up front. It goes in cycles, Ducati are strong now but in the recent past, Honda and Yamaha both dominated like Ducati is now.
