Both these guys grew up Flat Tracking on So Cal Bull Rings, ended up doing really well on Yamahas and Harleys at Ascot and Corona. Graduated to Road Racing at Riverside, Willow and Laguna, culminating in Championship Kawi Superbike rides and then with Kenny Roberts help, to dominate in multiple European World Championships.
