I had the pleasure of watching Feets race back in the day. We all raced the Lightweights M.C. Day Time T.T.s. Ascot, Saddleback and Perris. Feets,who was getting up there in age, would let most of the young hot shots blast ahead and then he would casually pick them off and ultimately win, riding his Gold Star in what looked like a completely relaxed and unhurried style. Feets was a real nice guy, quiet and unassuming, with a big throttle hand.When Feets raced, everyone came to watch. It was quite something to witness.
