We used to go to Portland Speedway all the time. It was a 3/8 pavement track with a slight bank. Always great racing and a packed house. The Main event was thirty cars like this one. But they were real metal 57 Chevys, Fairlanes, Customlines and various two door coupes from the 50s and early 60s. Not like this fiberglass tube framer, they just looked the same. Nothing like a Saturday night at the local Bull Ring. They even covered the track with dirt for a couple of AMA Flat Track Races in the 90s. The riders liked the track but promoters were scarce so it did not continue, unfortunately.
