Dog Days for Ducati Corse at Qatar

The Factory Ducati Team failed miserably at the MotoGP opener at Qatar. Somehow the bike electronics went completely haywire and made them look like the Mr. Bean Racing Team. The four Factory Ducatis got left at the start, when they all almost stalled. It got worse, the bikes are mapped for each section of the track and that was out of sync. When they needed gentle acceleration, they got WFO Balls to the Walls and when they needed max power they fizzled like gutless wonders and had to move over for fear of being rear ended. Not Ducati's best day. Then No.1 Rider Bagnaia crashed out Pole sitter and also struggling HorHay Marteen. Both luckily uninjured in a boneheaded team mate take out, that defied explanation. Then" Thriller Miller" pulled off and retired to change his shorts after some wild escapes from unexpected full throttle antics. Actually the whole incident points out that this is not a pure sport as hoped. The bikes are now preprogrammed for power delivery and performance for every inch of the track, taking away from the Art of Motorcycle Racing in a huge way. Give complete control to the riders and lets see where the chips fall.
Jorge Martin showed his incredible talent with a convincing Pole.
Jorge got taken out by Ducati's No. 1 Rider Bagnaia in an embarrassing fiasco of frustration.
Bagnaia had to be hating himself and his 2022 Factory Ride. Bastianini won the race in spectacular fashion on Bagnaia's Ducati from last year. Oh, that hurts.
Miller , who needs to excel this year to keep his coveted No.2 Factory seat, had a hellish race with completely backwards electronics malfunction. He retired mid race, looking white as a ghost and thanking his guardian angel.
