While leading the Main and looking like another Championship under his belt, Briar hit a slick spot on the track which threw him completely sideways and then up into the hay bales where he was knocked off his Indian and pounded into the track. He did get to his feet and bravely restarted at the rear of the Restart field. He pulled off wisely due to being thrashed in the get off. Briar will be back stronger than ever after this disappointing end of the 2021 season.
