American WSB Yamaha rider rode really well on Morbidelli's Petronas MotoGP Yamaha. On a new track with a new bike, in the deep end of MOTOGP, Garrett showed he can be competitive in the big leagues. It is a daunting task to throw a leg over a MOTOGP contenders bike but, it seemed old hat for Garrett. His lap times were very respectable. He got a little jammed up behind Marini, not being able to get by him but he looked comfortable and fast. Lets hope he gets another shot at the big time.
