Feets Minert, one of the old guard of Motorcycling in So Cal. A real motorcycle man who was a top racer and bike builder and a humble gentleman. Famous for his accomplishments on BSAs. I had the pleasure of watching him race his Gold Star at The Lightweights M/C TTs held at Saddleback, Perris and Ascot. He was always in the big open class and would let the hot shoes tear off the line and battle one another and Feets would gracefully pick them off one by one to take the lead on the last lap and the Checkers. It was a study of years of racing in action. He was then possibly 70 years old and as quick and precise as he ever was. If Feets lined up you knew he was going to win. The crowd gathered when he raced because they knew they were about to witness something special.
Chuck Minert passed away Oct 6th, 2016. He was 85.
