Blast from the past - Tom Ferguson, Life long Flat Tracker.

Tom looking relaxed during post race debrief with his buds. Tom cut his Flat Track teeth at Dehesa Scrambles Track in San Diego. Starting on DT-1s and then this CZ-400 MX turned TT. 21" and 19 " wheels for this track.
 Ready to go, 1980 style.
DT-1, jean jacket and no shoe. His buddy let him ride #23 in the background  and got a second place first time out. Born natural racer.
Same DT-1, Leathers and brand new Maely steel shoe and a new angle of attack.
DT-1, De-Raked with engine lowered 2 1/2 inches by Tom. Looking very SoCal with his Mom and Sister, still some of his biggest race fans.
Redline Yamaha, Tom builds 'em and rides 'em, very well.
Corona Half Mile every Wednesday night. Tom raced the three SoCal Half miles, including South Bay Speedway, San Diego and Ascot. Looking good with his Maely Shoe barely touching down. I say this because Tom has only had one shoe which he bought in 1980. He still races on the same shoe and it has never been touched by a torch. Old Ken must have had the special magic hard facing out for Tom.
