Sid and Jim McMurren were doing great at Sante fe, on their Sprints.
They met fellow Sprint race Bill Werner. Bill was racing his Sprint and learning he was pretty good at the tuning side of things so, he gave up his big, new, hot-rod V-twin so Sid could ride and Bill would rub on the bike. They did very well together and it fueled Bill Werner's epic rise to the top, Winningest Tuner Ever.
