The Pasadena Freeway was the first Freeway in the western U.S. It is a short, twisty piece of L.A. lore. It is now the "110" but on opening day 1938, as shown, it was the "Arroyo Seco Parkway".
It twists and turns between Downtown Los Angeles and South Pasadena. By today's standards, it is not a freeway but it is a delightful little highway that is legend to Los Angelinos who have real blood coursing through their veins. If you can get the thing to yourself or with like minded participants, you will be smiling a happy smile.
