Jake Johnson AFT #5 - Yamaha Mounted - Estenson Racing

Jake is a three time Grand National Winner, once as 600 Singles Champ and twice Twins Champ.
2017 saw him as a Motor Co. hired gun but they gave him a pea-shooter when he needed a double barreled BAR against the onslaught from the Wig-Wam Racing Team. Jake is racer and he lined up to give it his all on the grossly under powered and unreliable Vance and Hines XG750R.
2017 turned out to be a dismal year for all members of the Harley-Davidson Racing Team, including Jake who cut his ties with the orange and black crew and has now found a home with the very solid Estenson Racing organization. Jake will be racing their Yamaha primarily but, he could be back on their XR750s on the shorter Half Miles. Jake is a natural Flat Tracker and always fun to watch and now with fast and reliable equipment, will once again be a real front of the pack contender in 2018.

Here is The Motor Company's XG750R that Jake battled so valiantly on.
Ironically, in the background is one of Jake's Estenson Yamahas for 2018, which Sammy gave up to replace Jake on the HD team. Now, they must be paying Sam ooddles of greenbacks to throw a leg over that XG. Sam knows too well how slow they are because he passed everyone of them with ease on his powerful and swift Yami. Remember Springfield where Sam took on the three Indians and led in a horsepower, drafting battle royale that had us all cheering him on till we were hoarse, only to have the Indians work together and just beat him to the line. We saw, in that great battle, some real Yamaha power ( taking nothing away from Halbert's magnificent ride). Jake has the skill and talent to put it to good use and it will be something to witness.

Good Luck Jake ! So good to see you back on competitive equipment.
Enjoy the ride in 2018.
