Stripped down Triumph T-140 that looks totally T.T. , Ascot that is. Perfect example of what can be done on the cheap with an amalgamation of swap meet parts. This is '71 on Trumpet parts, frame, forks, DLS 2nd generation front brake known for not stopping too well, motor, any year 650/750 bolts right in. Custom parts consist of Pipes which look good and being straight out Trumpy, sound awesome, Tank, Trackmaster replica, seat base looks made to fit stock frame, which is a nice touch.
This bike has throw-back retro Amal Monoblocks, maybe to give it an older look. Pirelli tires are perfectly appropriate on this machine. The bike makes a statement about the Flat Track heritage of Triumph and how close to the racers were to the original bikes. This is a street bike with the lights taken off for a tribute lap at Perris for the late, great, Triumph racer, Skip Van Leeuwen. You could build your own or buy this one from its creator Sonny Nutter for $33,000.00 !
