I was wrong about Sammy Halbert having a great opportunity to shine in the 2017 AFT Championship on an Ol'School HD XR750. Turns out he is going to ride a Yamaha ! as reported this week in Cycle News. There a very few FZ-07 Flat Trackers competing and they have not set the world on fire. I hope Sam can turn that around. A more compact machine might help in the two T.T.s and Short Tracks but I think he will get swallowed up on the Miles and 1/2 Miles. This news just adds another component to what will be a very entertaining 2017 season.
