AMA GRAND NATIONAL CHARLOTTE HALF MILE

Nice start to the Charlotte Half Mile with Johnson, Halbert, Mees, Smith and Robinson hard on it with eventual 3rd place finisher Kenny Coolbeth / Zanotti Racing mounted getting ready to pounce.
The AMA really promoted this race as a new start for them but the track was a typical rough as guts Sprint Car Track that once again did not do the Sideways Circus justice. Taking nothing away from the racers who hauled ass on the track they were given , as always. Charlotte did provide thrilling 20 second laps with a Main that over and done in 7.5 minutes.

Halbert looked strong out front and holding his own until lap 10 when something happened to his new ride and he took it up to the air fence and retired. Before it blew up, Mees scooted by for the lead.

Once again Brad was up in the scrum, fighting in third place and the Vance & Hines tuned Harley suffered its usual gremlins and slowed dramatically. Brad soldiered on for whatever he could coux out of the Factory Harley.

Davis Fisher #67 held his own on the new Harley but got lapped by the old Harley soon to be Indian GNC No.1 Team Rider , race leader Jared Mees. Brandon Robinson was always in contention and finished a close 2nd. Kenny Coolbeth/ Zanotti fought through to a excellent 3rd place finish.
