Loudon, 1970 with the Motor Co. Factory XR750 up front with Mark Brelsford AMA GNC #87 showing the way around on the opening lap. Check out #90 on a TT Bike giving them hell. He is in front of the Factory Triumph Romero #3 and Harley Factory #1 Mert Lawwill. I dont know how he got on from here but his opening salvo was the stuff of heros. Brelsford blew up and Nixon Factory Triumph #9 went on to Victory. Loudon was traditionally a tight 1.1 mile Road Course and sit up and beg bars were not unusual in years prior to this but, he is definitely the die hard in this National.
