After
a highly successful inaugural event in 2014, Red Bull Straight Rhythm
will return for a second consecutive year. The 2015 event will take
place on October 10 and will once again be held at Fairplex in Pomona.
An evolution of the sport of supercross, the event features head-to-head
racing on an “unwound" track, where there are no turns, just a 1/2
mile-long straight rhythm section. Gates open at 11 a.m. Racing starts
at 1 p.m.
The list of invited riders now includes James Stewart, Ryan Dungey,
Cole Seely, Blake Baggett, Jason Anderson, Broc Tickle, Andrew Short,
Weston Peick, Ken Roczen, Davi Millsaps, Kyle Chisholm, Justin Barcia,
Nick Wey, Jake Weimer, Justin Brayton, Phil Nicoletti, and Malcolm
Stewart.
Stay tuned for more news updates as the event approaches.
So much for what we were led to believe about the track. Red Bull can put on an event but the AMA can't get a Promoter to have the traditional Grand Finale at Pomona ? ! What gives here? The awesome Pomona Half Mile which is possibly the most exciting race of the season , due to the points and fantastic track, is replaced by an untried rinky-dink bull ring short track, in a second rate Lost Wages Casino ?
