Leppan's Triumph Double 1968

Bob Leppan , head of Triumph Detroit, built this double as a test bed for his Land Speed record holder Gyronaut. They had planned to use two banks of twins but the AMA changed the rules to Two engines with a total of 3000cc. Wonder who they had in mind when they made that rule.
