Brad Baker rode right through a newly developed hole in Turn 1 Pomona during hot laps and used his incredible talent to ride it out rather than take a flyer into the air fence. I think he hit the same hole during the Main that had him face plant the triple trees with his legs extended straight up above him. He saved it again and went on to chase down Smith who snuck by him during the incident and Brad won the Championship and the race in fine fashion.
