Cecil Oswald was a Motorcycle Dealer in San Marcos ,Calif when BSA hit the skids and B50s suddenly became Triumph 500s. He built this bike in 1973 and it has been a successful racer ever since and has been raced at every track in So Cal and up and down the left coast. It has been ridden by a long list of notable racers, Sal Paluso and Jim McMurren included. Jack Nealey bought the machine from Cecil's widow and campaigns the bike in the SCFTA Super Senior class, which requires you to be at least 70 years old.
Jack enjoys his Short Track racing and does a fine job on the big single ( actually a 620 Stroker with a huge load of torque).
These photos are of two 73 year olds going at it on Perris's perfectly groomed DG surface.
Jack's arch rival in the class is none other than Preston Petty riding the lightning quick Zero 'lectric bike.
