Ed's Chief

This is my 90 year old neighbour Ed on his Indian in 1950,Temple City ,Calif. Ed has loved sickles his whole life and had many but this one was his favorite. He kept talking about it and finally found this photo which he had been searching for. He got the bike when it was almost brand new and immediately personalized it to his taste. He said it was dead stock and they were an acquired taste with the big fenders which he detested and besides he said ,nobody rode a stock bike, you had to fix'em up. Ed rode the Indian every day as his main transportation, not because he had to but because he loved to ride. He ran the front fender and windshield only during the So Cal wet months.
