1965 Genie Chevy MK5

These Genies were the first of the Big Banger V8 Sports Cars that were the precursor of the much missed Can-Am Series. Built by Huffaker Racing in San Francisco, these small tube, small block Chevys were built to battle the Coventry Climax powered Lotus 19 and Flat 6 Porsche powered Lotus 23 Specials that were winning all the USRRC battles.
Their impact was so strong that McLaren, Lola, Lotus ,Elfin and a host of small American manufactures followed suite and the Can-Am series was born. This Genie never stopped racing or being developed and it is a joy to see and hear, with its 327 wailing away.
