Smokin' Joe Kopp

After an incredible battle for the No.1 Plate in 2010, Joe Kopp has retired from a full time pursuit of the Grand National Championship. With three fabulous victories this year, the Arizona Mile, claiming Ducati's first GNC win and the Lake Odessa Half Mile and the Hagerstown Half Mile on the Latus Motors Harley, Joe ended the season in a very close second place.
Joe is the crowd favorite and we are all going to miss following his exploits throughout the coming season. Joe hails from the North West where Dirt Bikes and Flat Track have a very long history. Joe will compete in races he loves like the Daytona Short Track in the Spring and a EnduroCross race or two and hopefully a Mile and Half Mile somewhere around the country. Joe, thanks for all the thrilling memories. You are a Gentleman first and a very worthy Champion.I hope I get the chance to see you race again some time soon.
A photo finish victory for Joe and an entry into the GNC winners list for Ducati.
Smokin' Joe warms it up at Yavapai Downs.
