The T.T. is in full swing and the weather seems to be just about perfect. What an event. The history,the speed,the danger,the inevitable, all make for what is one of the greatest racing events possible.
Ken Kavanagh was the first Aussie to win a T.T. He arrived in Europe in '51 and after just a few stunning rides on his Privateer Manx ,was invited to join the Norton Factory Team. Moto Guzzi wooed him away with their exotic machinery, with which he won the Junior T.T. in 1956.
The course has changed very little over the last 100 years and some of the guard rails coming over the mountain are still the same killers as they were way back when.
