BOSS 302 Trans Am Mustangs

Without a doubt, my favorite Race Cars of all time. The '69 and '70 Boss 302 Trans Am Mustangs were the highest evolution of the cars in the class. These bellowing monsters packed Speedways with enthusiastic crowds that worshipped the cars and their drivers because they put on a loud and brutal,bare knuckles kind of racing that has not been seen since. I watched some racing this weekend on TV and the cars just don't have 1/4 of the appeal of these old battle wagons. The 24 hours of Le Mans was a yawn. The fastest cars in that race are whisper quite Diesels! They have reduced what used to be exciting racing to something as painfully, roll your eyes boring as Electric Motorbike Racing. Thank goodness Vintage Trans Am is alive and booming.
