Jake Johnson pulled off a perfect draft pass, right before the checkers, to win the 2009 Springfield Mile. This spectacular win made Jake an elite member of the Grand Slam Club with a ST, TT, Half-Mile and now a Mile Victory. He had just joined the Johnny Goad,F&S Harley Team and this looked like absolutely the right move. Now Jake is on the move again and will compete for the Grand National Championship riding a Zanotti Harley in 2010.
Nothing stays the same season to season and I look forward to seeing who will ride for Super Tuner Johnny Goad. I took these photos at Pomona, the last race of the year. Johnson had his Supertrapp Blue XR flying and ended up seventh after a hard fought race on a rough and tough track.
