Vintage Sprint Cars

These are '60s California Racing Assoc Sprinters that ran at Ascot.
This wingless era was 80% driver ,20% car. A winged Sprint car is 20% driver , 80% car. These two cars are set up to run on a paved road course at the Vintage Races at Coronado Naval Air Station, San Diego. I had never seen a Sprint Car road race before, it is a very rare occurrence. With an in-out g/box (one gear) they are not suited for this kind of stuff but they put on a good sideways show ,Left and Right !
