Danny Magoo Chandler one of America's finest Motocrossers won one of his biggest races at the U.S.G.P. of Motocross at Carlsbad, Ca.
He was also victorious at the Superbikers race at Carlsbad which used some of the same track plus a paved section of the road-race circuit. The Superbikers started the Supermotard revolution we enjoy today. Magoo was a rare talent on a motocross bike with his absolute wide open attack on every track he tackled. He was just plain fun to watch. After a severe wreck which ended his racing career, Danny focused on teaching young riders how to Motocross with safety and responsibility. He always was and will be a credit to and a role model in our two wheeled world. I caught Magoo in action at the '84 running of the Superbikers riding his Factory CR500.
