LONG GONE NIGHTS

Mert bumps his XR to life, warms it up and hands it off to Hot Shoe Chris Carr.

This was a golden era when Steve Eklund (8), Ted Boody (12) and Ricky Graham (3) were still twisting throttles. It was the end of the XR-750 vs RS-750 years. Honda won 4 championships in a row and pulled out of Flat Track racing. I wish they had have stayed, for the good of the sport. Valentino Rossi might well be Flat Tracking now, in what is the greatest motor sport on earth.
